Mahala
AQHA Filly, born grulla color but shed off black, NO WHITE, color testing would tell if she's Black or Smokey Black. For more info on color genetics and others like her: http://www.grullablue.com/colors/grullocolor.htm DOB May 2007 Sire: CH Menominee Wind Dam: The Country Dutchess, own daughter of Country Classic
Mahala is sired by grullo IBHA Supreme Champion Stallion Menominee Wind (the ONLY one to date). He is also homozygous for the black gene. He is an all around pleasure horse deluxe! View his titles and read more about him. Her dam is The Country Dutchess, a grulla mare with points in Reining, WP, Halter, and Dun Factor. Her sire was halter point earner, Classic Country (halter bred with NO Impressive). She has an incredibly sweet and gentle disposition and is the love of my life. Mahala was imprinted and handled daily as a baby. She's been trailered, halter broke, ties. I saddled her as a yearling, she's very sweet but I've had health problems and haven't worked with her much lately. She did cut the corner of her mouth at a couple weeks old and it was repaired. It isn't very noticable but the corner of her mouth on the left side is extended about 1/8" and has some scarring if you look close. (see photo) My vet felt it was fine for a bit seat. I will consider the poor market and will accept a reasonable and fair offer. I paid $7000 for her dam, they priced her sire to me at $30,000. We are moving and I need to sell her ASAP!!! SOLD
