The adult quarters are currently 5- 6X12 runs on a cement floor kennel. They have insulated dog boxes with water resistent bed cushions inside, which offers comfortable warmth in the winter, and cool in the summer. We clean the kennel daily and disinfect for a healthy environment. I've postponed building a new facility, but in the near future our adult quarters will include indoor suites.

The dogs have playtime in the fenced yard on our 3 1/2 acres.

They also take turns visiting in the house or going on day trips with the kids and I. We like to walk at the state park.

Built new in 2004, and remodeled in 2008, the temperature controlled puppy house has a linoleum floor that is easy to keep disinfected and clean. Although our puppies are usually born in our home, the puppy house allows the flexibility for those Moms who are bothered in the first 2-3 wks after whelping by our family noise. When the puppies are old enough, they move into the puppy house. There are puppy boxes inside with a removable divider for added play space as the puppies grow. The puppies have free access, through a doggy door, to an outdoor run. This set-up supports the natural den instincts of the puppy, and they naturally start to potty train when old enough to walk outside. They learn to keep their den clean and go potty in a seperate area. We recommend crate training upon bringing your puppy home.

For families who have placed a deposit, we will meet them in a public area after the puppies are 6 weeks of age and have had their 1st vaccinations. For families who are long distance, we gladly offer quality photos and detailed information about the puppies, so a family can choose their puppy by email. Buyers can meet us to take their puppy home after 8wks, or we will ship by air after 9-10 wks. We have multiple references available to confirm that we are an ethical breeder with integrity and honesty. Our facilities and dogs are fully pictured on our website, so please enjoy the virtual tour. We know that buyers understand our concern for our safety. We will miss welcoming families into our home very much. Thank you for understanding. Why the Visitation Policy Change? click here.

New in 2007, a video monitoring system was installed in the puppyhouse. With the monitor in my office, I can easily keep an eye on an expectant Mom or puppies while working at the computer.

For our safety, we ask that you be understanding of our stricter policies for visitation. We do have a personal protection dog on guard. Due to recent personal threats and the occurance of breeders being murdered upon visitation, we no longer accept visits to our home. We are very open and willing to share all aspects of our breeding to ensure families are comfortable in working with us.
"I just wanted to pass a short note of praise to Crooked Creek Terriers. Traci stands out from most breeders for several reasons. Every time I am in an exam room with Traci and her dogs, I am reminded that her number one priority is the health and well-being of her dogs. I am always impressed with Traci’s meticulous attention to detail. This makes my job as her veterinarian much easier because she is always able to give me a thorough, accurate history of each puppy. If a dog of Traci’s is diagnosed with a condition she is unfamiliar with, she spends the time necessary to ask me questions to educate herself about the condition and strives to find ways to prevent the condition from occurring. Another important aspect of Traci’s successful breeding program is the early socialization and training of her puppies with her children. Upon visiting her facilities, one quickly determines that her dogs are well cared for and treated very much as the family pets they are. Please feel free to contact Newton Veterinarian Clinic and ask for Dr. Gail if you have any questions about her or her puppies. Keep up the wonderful work as a great dog breeder Traci."
