Chloe has lived in our family since she was 2yrs old. She walks on a lead and has been in the house and crated, but needs continued crate training. Upon coming into a new home, she would not know not to potty in the house, but does well if watched.
She is really laid back, very affectionate and sweet. She likes lounging around or taking her time investigating or smelling around the back yard. She is more likely to follow you room to room and watch what you're doing, than to play games. She's "too mature" for puppy-like games. She is great with kids and other animals. I would not place her in a home with an aggressive or alpha dog, as she will get picked on. She's not aggressive and never starts anything, but at feeding time, will stand over her food and growl under her breath if another dog approaches and tries to eat. An alpha dog would then attack her and it's not fair to her when she's only protecting her food. She's fine with humans, it's just dogs that she quietly tells to sit back and wait their turn to eat. With any dog that is respectful of that, she's fine with. She's not very vocal and rarely barks. She has a deep raspy bark, so even for someone like me who does not like barking, it's not bothersome at all. She never barks when in the house, but once in a while when a visitor arrives or everyone else is barking over a squirrel, she'll join in.
Chloe loves attention and would bring joy to any family looking for a quiet laid back companion. If you think you could provide a quality forever home, please drop me an email and tell me about your family. crookedcreekcairns@verizon.net
